ABOUT ME
Harley Duck is an artist, teacher, curator, and was once called a gentleman and a scholar by a guy at the bank. Between traditional media and papier-mâché sculpture, his works frequently subvert or combine contexts, whether it be the situations in which they were created or the weight of art history, literature, and other media. Grounded in the anxiety of influence, he examines the unremarkable phenomena of lived environments and the distortion of reality through the process of art-making.
Harley holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree with Distinction in English and Studio Art from the University of Guelph, and a Museum and Gallery Studies Graduate Certificate from Georgian College. He is currently completing a Bachelors of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island.
