ABOUT ME

Harley Duck is a multidisciplinary artist, teacher, and curator fixed in painting and other semi-traditional media; he is also called a “hermit artist” by his mom. His practice is heavily influenced by art history, literature, and other media, leading to frequent motifs of historical reference, reproduction, and intervention. These notions are often accompanied by his other interests in the unremarkable phenomena of lived environments and distortion of reality.

Harley holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree with Distinction in English and Studio Art from the University of Guelph, and a Museum and Gallery Studies Graduate Certificate from Georgian College. He lives and works in Orangeville, Ontario.

Harley also is the founder and instructor of Eraser Tip Art Classes, a business teaching lessons in the fundamentals and advanced stages of various fine art techniques and mediums.
